Peak Season in Boracay

Boracay peak season occurs several times during the year, namely Christmas, New Year, the Chinese New Year and the Holy Week. These are the busiest times on the island.

Peak and High Season

The peak tourist season should not be confused with the high season. The high season is from October to May. This period is characterized by winds blowing away from White Beach. There is no rain and it is the perfect time for various water sports activities.

The Scene

During the peak / high season, the hotels and resorts are fully booked. Not only are the beaches full, but there are also a lot of people trekking, going to the bat caves etc. The bars and clubs are also filled with people. It is, in other words, a party place.

Booking Hotel Rooms and Resorts

The hotels and resorts are fully booked during Boracay peak season. If you are going to book, do it as early as possible. If you plan on visiting during the Holy Week, book several weeks in advance.

It is hard to book a hotel room a few days before the occasion. Not only are they booked, but also very expensive. Due to the high demand, the rates can go up by over 20%. By booking early, you will be able to save money.

ATMs and Money

It is a good idea to bring some cash. There are several ATMs on the island. But during high season, the lines can get very long. Due to the high demand, the machines may temporarily go offline. Bringing along some bills will prevent problems.

Booking Flights

The same rule applies when booking flights. The earlier you book the flights, the cheaper you can get them. Another advantage of making reservations early is you avoid the hassle.

Things to Do

Many people go to the island just to enjoy the white sands. You can just sit back, relax and bask in the sun and water. The season is also right for building castles in the sand. You can dance the night away with your friends or make new ones. Windsurfing, kite-boarding and parasailing are also popular on the island.

The scenes during the Boracay peak season can seem frenzied at times with people seemingly everywhere. But it is all part of the fun. As anyone who has been to the island will tell you, there is simply no other place like it on Earth.
