If you need a budget hotel which is still very clean and with good amenities then Ocean Breeze Inn might be the answer.
The Rooms range from P600 in low season for a nipa hut without air-condition, to P2100 for the large room with air-condition, refrigerator and separate sleeping area in high season.
The rooms in the main building range from P900 – P2100 and they are all equipped with air-condition, Cable TV and hot and cold shower. The higher priced ones also have a balcony and a refrigerator which comes in real handy on a hot summer day.
If you prefer to go to the market and buy fresh fish and vegetables to do your own cooking, then you can use the guest cooking facilities in the hotel. You have to pay a small fee for the cooking gas.
There is a generator on standby, so in case of power outages – locally called brownouts – you will still have power in your room.
There is a nice garden in front of the hotel, so whenever you arrive or leave the premises you will be doing so through the beautiful green garden.
So as you can see their rates are low and depending on which type of room and the season.
Their season system is:
Low Season – June 1 – Oct 31
High Season – Nov 1 – May 31
Peak Season – Dec 15 – Jan 4 and then Feb 8 – Feb 17 and again March 24 – March 31 for Holy Week. The Holy Week peak season is probably changing every year.
The hotel is not right on White beach, but it is only a 3-4 minute walk down to the beach through a nice path which takes you by several small stores so you can stock up on cold water and other much needed supplies for the hot summer weather.
The Inn is family managed and they take very good care of their guests, the place is rarely fully booked so you can usually get a room on short notice.
There is no restaurant on the premises, but just a short walk down to WhiteBeach and you will have plenty of options. Boracay is overflowing with restaurants of all types and sizes. So getting a meal is never a problem 24/7.
Ocean Breeze Inn is in my favorite area of Boracay which is the area around Station 3. There are not as many tourists around that area and it is a lot quieter than Station 1 or 2. That doesn’t mean its boring or anything as the party places are only a walk away.
You will wake up to complimentary coffee every day; this is one of the perks of staying at this place. Every morning they put a thermos with hot water and some sachets of instant coffee outside every room. So if you are a coffee addict you wont have to move far to get your morning fix.
Ocean Breeze Inn has a partner hotel in Manila which gives a handsome discount to guests referred from the Inn. So if you have a night or 2 in each end of your stay in Boracay, it is advised to take advantage of this relationship and book your Manila room through Ocean Breeze.
The hotel has WIFI Internet connection, and they charge P50 per day for accessing this connection. The setup is just with a password, so one payment should cover you even if you log on with Ipad, Laptop and your Cell Phone at the same time.
Ocean Breeze Inn also offers transfer to and from Kalibo and Caticlan. They will send hotel staff to assist you and show you the way. Guest will have to pay the cost of the Bus/Trike/Boat etc.
When its time to check out and head to your next destination, be prepared for the photo session, staff will come running out with a camera and take some pictures of their guests. You should hook up with Ocean Breeze Inn’s Facebook page as most of the guest pictures are posted there for remembrance.
