You're stuck in Boracay on a shoestring budget? Looking for quieter and more private but cheaper lodgings? Well, if you've got such strict criteria then a lot of people may give you a questioning look and some might just say you'll never find one. But don't count your chickens just yet because there are still options available such as Alyssa Resort.
In a word, most people who have been here and loved it would tell you that this establishment is a no frills resort. In fact, some of them might even argue the fact that it's not really a true blue Boracay hotel or resort per se. Nevertheless, if you're on a tight budget and are looking for some quiet time then this is quite a really good option.
The resort isn't really huge, which is good if you don't like hanging out with the crowd. However, it's also not luxurious and elegant – which basically means you don't want to put your expectations up really that high. To wit, they only have ten rooms to offer to their guests.
Nevertheless, in order to make up for the lack of luxury, the rooms and facilities are kept neat, clean, and tidy on a daily basis and everything is very functional. It's like having your own little cottage getaway in an unknown section of the island.
Alyssa Resort also has additional plus factors to make your stay worth your while. They have transport facilities, which means a member of the staff can pick you up and take you to the resort upon arrival on Boracay. Recreational facilities are also available for snorkeling, jet skiing, sail boating, diving, windsurfing, mountain biking, and island tours.
To add value to your money, the resort offers the following services: airline reservations, boat services, currency exchange, baby sitting, international phone service, massage service, safety deposit box, laundry service, solar hot showers, and breakfasts served daily. They also have generators on standby thus ensuring round the clock electricity. Given these amenities and services, Alyssa Resort is rated with two stars.
The rooms in this little resort are pretty basic. They have soap, shampoo, and towels always available. The rooms are air conditioned. They also have beach towels that you can use. They have cable TV but it doesn't have a huge screen. Looking out the window, you'll see the beautifully landscaped cliff side, bar, and tree house coffee shop.
There are three types of rooms in Alyssa Resort namely Deluxe, Standard, and Family Rooms. The room rates in this resort average at Php 2,700 during the lean season, when there are fewer guests. During the peak season, the rates usually average up to Php 3,400. However, you might want to look into any special promos or deals that they usually offer. Their special deals may even cut down your costs significantly especially if you're on a tight budget.
Alyssa Resort is located at Station 3, which is the more secluded and quieter section of the island. There's an access road so getting to the mall and other commercial establishments won't be a hassle. You can hop on a tricycle and travel back and forth. The beach is close by and is easily accessible.
You can contact the staff at Alyssa Resort by calling +63-36-288-3102. They would be more than welcome to assist you regarding inquiries, booking, and what not. They're really friendly and hospitable people.
