Tourist Season in Boracay

The Boracay tourist season is divided into three: the low / lean season, the high season and the peak season.

The Peak Season

The peak season occurs during Chinese New Year, New Year, Christmas and the Holy / Easter Week. During these times, the island is filled with tourists. All the resorts and hotels are booked fully. Most of these are booked weeks or months in advance.

For this reason, it is best to book as early as possible. During this period, it is common practice for the resorts to increase their rates. The jump can be as high as 25%. By booking early, you will avoid the rush and the high prices. Of all the Boracay tourist seasons, this is the busiest.

High Season

This season begins in October and continues until the month of May. During this time, the winds will blow from the west, keeping White Beach shielded. The wind will blow to sea and keep the beach clean. In the northern hemisphere it is winter. That is why many tourists come to the island.

The Low Season

The low season starts when the winds begin blowing at White Beach. During this time, the island experiences more rain than usual. It starts in May and culminates in October.

Due to the weather fewer tourists come to the island. But some do because the prices are low, especially the hotel and resort rates. The low season is ideal for those who want to avoid the crowd during the peak season.

Activities

Relaxing or taking strolls on the beach are two of the most popular activities on the island. But there are a lot of things that you can do. The glass bottom boat is for those who want to see fish and corals but do not or cannot swim or dive. These are located near White Beach.

Island hopping is another popular activity. You can board a boat and visit many of the beaches around the island. The Everland Aviary Park is very popular during the peak season. The butterflies and birds are its main attractions.

From there, you can see Mount Luho. Diving, kite boarding and wind surfing are also popular regardless of the season. There are also many dive centers in the island.

Always think about the Boracay tourist season before you arrange the trip. With some knowledge of what to expect during these seasons, you will always know what to expect.

  • Bill Weirman:

    Hello,
I will be arriving in Manila the 10th of May and staying at Hotel H2O until the 13. From there I plan on staying at the Mandarin Hotel in Boracay for a week. My question is, I need a hotel when I get back to Manila. May I make reservations at the Mandarin Hotel for Hotel H2O? Thank you. Sincerely, Bill Weirman
